We’re stuck in the same boat. My daughter loved the “bubblegum” flavor so much that even the tiniest hint of mint gets a dramatic eye roll now. I honestly thought she’d just grow out of it, but nope… she’s digging her heels in. Makes me wonder if we made things harder by letting her pick whatever she wanted at first.

That’s my kid exactly. I swear, bubblegum is basically her fifth food group. I keep telling myself it’s just a phase... but at this point, I’m not betting on it. At least they’re brushing, right?

Mint was a hard sell in my house too. My youngest used to act like I’d handed her a tube of hot sauce if there was even a whiff of it. We went through every flavor under the sun—bubblegum, watermelon, even some kind of cupcake thing that honestly smelled more like frosting than toothpaste. She finally settled on strawberry, which I never even knew existed until then. It’s funny, I always thought all toothpaste tasted like chalk until I was an adult... Kids these days have options. At least they’re brushing, right?

Strawberry toothpaste is a total game-changer, right? I used to think brushing was basically punishment as a kid—mint always burned my mouth and made me dread it. Now with all these flavors, it’s almost weirdly tempting. Did you notice if having a fun toothbrush helped too? My niece only got into brushing after she picked out a brush with her favorite cartoon on it. I wonder if it’s more about the flavor or the whole experience...

I get the appeal of strawberry toothpaste, but honestly, I worry a bit about kids getting too used to sweet flavors. Sometimes they end up swallowing more, or expecting brushing to taste like candy every time. The novelty toothbrushes are fun, but I think routine and supervision matter way more in the long run.
