"filter out anything suspiciously glowing (seriously, who's THAT excited about a dental cleaning?)"
Haha, exactly my thoughts. Those overly enthusiastic reviews always set off alarm bells for me—like, are they bribing people with free toothbrushes or something? I usually end up obsessively checking if the dentist mentions sedation options or how they handle anxious kids. Anyone else find themselves worrying more about dentist anxiety than their kids actually do...? Or is that just me being overly cautious again...

Haha, I completely relate to the anxiety part. I spend ages cross-checking insurance compatibility and pricing transparency too—nothing worse than surprise charges after a routine visit. Honestly, my kids breeze through it; meanwhile, I'm the one needing sedation options...
Haha, same here—I swear my kids think the dentist is some kind of amusement park, while I'm quietly panicking in the corner. But honestly, once you find someone patient and gentle, it makes a huge difference...hang in there, you're doing great.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm actually considering a second opinion right now—heard good things about a pediatric dentist nearby, but still nervous about switching. Did anyone else feel anxious about changing dentists?
Totally get the anxiety about switching dentists—we went through that last year. Our first dentist was nice enough, but my daughter just never felt comfortable. After a lot of hesitation, we finally switched to a pediatric dentist someone recommended, and honestly, best decision ever. Like you said:

Turns out, the new dentist had a waiting room full of toys and knew exactly how to distract my kiddo during cleanings. Wish we'd switched sooner...but hindsight's 20/20, right?
