"Honestly though, hearing your experience makes me wonder if we should've gone sooner."

I totally get this feeling...we waited until around 14 months because I was nervous about the cost and if it was even necessary yet. Turns out our dentist didn't charge the full fee for such a quick look—more like a quick check-in rate. It was reassuring to have that initial visit done, though. You're doing fine either way, no need to stress!

We took ours in around 12 months, mostly because our pediatrician casually mentioned it at a check-up. Honestly, I felt like it was a bit early too, but the dentist just did a quick peek and gave us some reassurance about brushing habits and stuff. It wasn't expensive either—seemed like they adjusted the price since it was more of an informal check-in rather than a full appointment.

Same here...made me feel better about going early. But really, I think as long as you're keeping an eye on things and brushing regularly, you're probably fine either way. No need to second-guess yourself too much.

We did something similar around the one-year mark, and honestly, it felt more like a "meet and greet" than an actual dental visit. The dentist mostly checked for early signs of decay and gave us a quick rundown on proper brushing techniques (turns out we'd been using way too much toothpaste...). I agree it's probably not critical at that stage if you're already diligent about oral care, but it was reassuring to have someone confirm we were on the right track.

Yeah, we waited until about 18 months for our first visit, mostly because our pediatrician said it wasn't urgent if we were brushing regularly. Glad we didn't rush it—felt more educational than medical anyway, but the peace of mind was worth it.

We took ours around the 12-month mark, mostly because our dentist recommended it. Honestly, it was pretty similar—more chatting and tips than actual dental work. But I think that's kind of the point, right? Getting them used to the environment early on makes future visits way less stressful. Plus, it's nice to have a professional confirm you're not totally messing things up... parenting anxiety is real, haha.
