"My dentist gently suggested switching back to something with fluoride because apparently my enamel was weakening."

Glad I'm not the only one! I recently switched to fluoride toothpaste after my dentist mentioned similar concerns. Teeth already feel a bit less sensitive... cautiously optimistic it'll help long-term.

My kiddo had a similar issue last year. We tried going fluoride-free for a while because I'd read some stuff online that made me nervous, but at the next check-up, our dentist gently nudged us back toward fluoride toothpaste. Honestly, within a couple months, his sensitivity improved noticeably. Makes me wonder if maybe the fluoride worries are a bit overblown? Curious if anyone else has noticed sensitivity changes after switching toothpastes...

We've actually had the opposite experience—my daughter had sensitivity issues, and switching to a fluoride-free toothpaste helped her noticeably. Maybe it's less about fluoride itself and more about individual reactions or other ingredients in the toothpaste? Just a thought...

Yeah, totally agree with this. I've had braces twice and tried tons of toothpastes—some fluoride ones irritated my gums, others didn't. Seems like trial and error to find what works best... Glad your daughter found relief!

I've noticed something similar—certain fluoride toothpastes leave my mouth feeling dry or sensitive, while others don't. Switching brands helped me pinpoint sodium lauryl sulfate as the culprit, not fluoride itself... so ingredient checks matter too.
