Had my dentist appointment yesterday, and they did that fluoride thing at the end. You know, the one where they paint that sticky stuff on your teeth and tell you not to eat or drink for a while? Honestly, it felt kinda weird—like my teeth had a weird coating all day. Not painful or anything, just...odd. Wondering if anyone else finds this procedure awkward or if it's just me being picky?

Haha, I totally get what you mean about the weird coating feeling—it's definitely a bit funky. But honestly, that sticky fluoride varnish is pretty great stuff. It sits on your teeth and slowly releases fluoride, helping strengthen enamel and fight cavities way better than just toothpaste alone. Sure, it's awkward for a few hours, but I'd take that over fillings any day...trust me, fillings are way more awkward (and expensive).

Haha, totally agree—fillings are way worse. I remember my first fluoride treatment as a kid, I thought the dentist had accidentally painted glue on my teeth or something. But honestly, after dealing with a couple cavities later on, I'm all for the weird sticky stuff. It's like a small awkward investment to avoid bigger awkwardness down the line...and cheaper too. Plus, it's kinda satisfying knowing your teeth are getting a slow-release fluoride spa treatment, right?

Haha, exactly—couldn't have put it better myself. Fluoride treatments are definitely the dental version of "short-term pain, long-term gain." Plus, anything beats the sound of a drill, trust me on that one...
