Got my dental implant done about 4 months ago and the area around it still feels kinda numb and weird. Dentist says it's "normal," but um...it's getting pretty annoying now. Anyone else dealing with this?

Had mine done about half a year ago and honestly, still feels a bit off too. Dentist gave me the same "totally normal" spiel, but I'm starting to wonder if that's code for "I have no clue." 😂 It's gotten better tho, just slooooowly. Hang in there—guess nerves take their sweet time waking up again.

Hmm, half a year seems pretty long tbh... had mine done last year and numbness cleared up around the 2-month mark. Maybe worth getting a second opinion just to ease your mind? Dentists aren't all created equal, after all.

Mine's been numb for about 4 months now, and honestly I'm starting to worry a bit... Did your dentist mention anything specific about nerve damage or healing timelines? Wondering if I should get mine checked again too.
