I keep staring at my teeth in the mirror, convinced nothing’s moving, and then I start second-guessing if I’m even wearing the trays right.

Yeah, I did that constantly—felt like I was obsessing over every tiny gap. There was this one canine that just wouldn’t budge, and it drove me nuts for weeks. I actually did end up asking for a refinement at the end because those last little tweaks just didn’t happen on their own. The process took a few extra months, but honestly, it was worth it to get things lined up the way I wanted. It’s weird how slow the last few movements can be... like watching paint dry.

That “last little tweak” phase is honestly the worst for anxiety. I’ve seen so many people (myself included) get hung up on one stubborn tooth that just refuses to cooperate. It’s like, you’re doing everything right, but it still takes its sweet time. Refinements can feel like a drag, but I’d rather wait it out than settle for something I’m not happy with. Sometimes I wonder if the trays are even working at all... but then I look back at old photos and realize there’s actually a pretty big difference. The progress is just sneaky slow, especially at the end.

That last stubborn tooth is always the troublemaker, right? I swear, mine felt like it had a personal vendetta against moving. But honestly, those tiny shifts at the end really do make a difference, even if it’s painfully slow. I get impatient too, but every time I compare old pics I’m like... okay, maybe it’s actually working after all.

That last stubborn tooth always seems to have a mind of its own. I remember thinking my bottom canine was glued in place—no matter how many trays I went through, it barely budged for weeks. It’s wild how those final tweaks feel so slow, but when I lined up my first and last photos, the difference was actually huge. Hang in there, those tiny shifts really do add up, even if it feels like you’re stuck in dental limbo for a bit. Comparing pics is honestly the best motivation.

That’s exactly how it feels watching my kid go through this. We’re on what feels like the hundredth tray, and that one tooth just refuses to move. I keep worrying we’re missing something or not wearing them long enough. Did anyone have to do extra trays at the end? I’m nervous we’ll get told we need a “refinement” round or something...
