For those who’ve had their jaws wired shut after surgery, how did that compare to folks who only had to deal with rubber bands? I was wired for 6 weeks and honestly, it was rough—couldn’t talk right, soup diet got old fast. But my cousin just had rubber bands and seemed to bounce back way quicker. Did anyone find one method more comfortable or is it just a trade-off? Curious what your recovery was like and which you’d pick if you had to do it again.
