I swear, first night after the surgery felt like being stranded on some deserted island—except my only tools for survival were pillows and ice packs. Could barely find a comfy spot...anyone else got funny or weird sleeping stories post-surgery?

Haha, totally relate—felt like I was building some elaborate pillow fort just to sleep sitting up. Anyone else wake themselves up snoring weirdly loud after surgery? Embarrassing stuff...

Haha, the pillow fort analogy is spot-on. I've heard similar experiences from quite a few patients—you're definitely not alone in this. The elevated sleeping position post-surgery often leads to increased mouth breathing, which can cause louder and more noticeable snoring. It's entirely normal, even if a bit embarrassing at times. Usually, as swelling decreases and you gradually return to your usual sleeping posture, this issue resolves itself naturally. In the meantime, staying hydrated and keeping the nasal passages clear can sometimes help reduce the intensity of snoring. Hang in there—this awkward stage is temporary, and you'll be back to peaceful sleep soon enough.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one feeling like I'm auditioning for a survival show every night. The pillow fort is definitely a lifesaver, but I swear, sometimes I wake up convinced I've been snoring loud enough to wake the neighbors. Good to know it's pretty common though—I was starting to worry I'd permanently turned into a foghorn.

I've found that keeping a humidifier running nearby helps a bit with the dry mouth and throat. Also, saline nasal sprays have been surprisingly helpful in keeping things clear. Still, can't wait until the swelling goes down enough to ditch this upright sleeping position. Until then, guess I'll just embrace my new identity as a professional snorer...
