"The trick I've found is freezing fresh spinach first, then blending it while still frozen—it breaks down way smoother."

That's a solid tip, wish I'd known that earlier. Spinach strings are definitely a struggle, but honestly, raspberry seeds were my personal nemesis after surgery. No matter how much I blended, those tiny seeds always found a way to sneak through and irritate my gums. Eventually, I just gave up on berries altogether for a while. Did anyone else find certain fruits or veggies unexpectedly tricky to blend smoothly? Curious if it's just me or if others had similar battles...

I feel you on the raspberry seeds... my daughter had jaw surgery last year, and those little seeds were the bane of our existence. I swear, no matter how long I blended those smoothies, she'd still find seeds stuck in her braces or irritating her gums. We eventually switched to bananas and mangoes—way smoother, less drama. Funny enough, carrots were another sneaky one for us. You'd think they'd blend down nicely, but nope, tiny carrot bits everywhere. Ended up straining every single smoothie through a fine mesh sieve just to be safe. Honestly, the whole liquid diet phase made me realize how sneaky fruits and veggies can be... who knew? Glad we're past it now, but I still get nervous anytime someone mentions smoothies, haha.

Raspberry seeds are definitely sneaky little things. I've had patients tell me similar stories about strawberries too—those tiny seeds just love hiding in braces and surgical sites. Another tricky one is spinach; you'd think it'd blend smoothly, but nope, it leaves those stringy bits behind. One patient joked she spent more time straining smoothies than actually drinking them. Honestly, it's surprising how much trial and error goes into finding foods that blend well enough to avoid irritation... glad your daughter's past that stage now!

Haha, raspberry seeds are the absolute worst. I remember after my surgery, I thought chia seeds would be a genius idea—healthy and easy to blend, right? Nope. Those tiny things expanded into a weird jelly mess that got stuck everywhere. Took me ages to clean out my blender, let alone my teeth. Glad your daughter's past the smoothie-straining Olympics now... it's definitely a milestone worth celebrating.

Haha, yep, chia seeds can be sneaky like that. Reminds me of when I tried spinach smoothies post-surgery—thought they'd blend smoothly, but nope... ended up with green flecks everywhere. Did anyone find a workaround for leafy greens?
