[Closed] my dentist warned me vaping could mess up my smile, but I didn't think much of it until yesterday.

I switched to vaping too after braces because I figured it'd be better than cigarettes for my teeth... but honestly, my gums started feeling weirdly sensitive after a few months. Makes me wonder if it's really as harmless as I thought. Might have to rethink this whole thing now.

I've never smoked or vaped myself, but from years of dental visits and conversations with my dentist, I've learned that vaping isn't exactly harmless for oral health. Even without tobacco, the chemicals and heat involved can irritate gums and affect circulation. Maybe consider cutting back or trying nicotine gum instead? I've heard from friends who've had success with it—might be worth a shot if you're concerned about your gums.

I've never vaped either, but I did notice my gums becoming sensitive after using certain mouthwashes with strong chemicals. Maybe it's a similar irritation issue? Might be worth checking if switching products helps...

I noticed something similar when I switched toothpaste brands a while back—my gums got super sensitive and irritated. Turns out certain ingredients just don't agree with everyone, even if they're supposed to be "gentle." Maybe vaping has a similar effect? Could be worth trying a short break or switching flavors/products to see if things improve. Hope you find some relief soon...gum issues are no fun at all.

I had a similar issue—not with vaping exactly, but when I first got braces, my gums were constantly irritated and swollen. At first, I thought it was just normal adjustment stuff, but turns out the mouthwash I was using was way too harsh. Switched to a milder rinse and things improved pretty quickly. Could definitely see vaping flavors or ingredients causing similar irritation...might be worth trying something different or cutting back a bit to see if that helps. Gum sensitivity can get annoying fast.
