[Closed] my dentist warned me vaping could mess up my smile, but I didn't think much of it until yesterday.

I've definitely seen this with some of my patients, and honestly, it makes me a bit nervous. I vape occasionally myself (yeah, I know, ironic given my job), and I noticed my gums felt irritated after certain flavors—especially the sweeter ones. Switching to something simpler helped me too, but I still worry about long-term effects. There's not enough solid research yet, so I'm always cautious about recommending vaping at all. Just something to keep in mind...

Yeah, I've noticed something similar. My gums felt irritated with sweeter vape flavors too. I switched to unflavored liquid and it definitely helped, but like you said:

"There's not enough solid research yet"

Makes me wonder if quitting altogether might be the safest bet...

I've been feeling pretty anxious about this myself lately. My gums started feeling sensitive after vaping sweeter flavors, and it really freaked me out. Like you, I switched to unflavored and noticed some improvement, but still...

Honestly, that's exactly where my head's at right now. It's tough because vaping helped me quit smoking, but the uncertainty around long-term effects is making me reconsider everything. Glad I'm not alone in worrying about this stuff.

Yeah, quitting altogether might be the smartest move honestly. I mean, vaping's better than smoking, sure, but your gums don't lie—mine started acting up too. Plus, dentists usually know their stuff... and I'd rather keep my teeth than my vape.

Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. I started vaping to quit cigarettes, thinking it was the lesser evil. But after a recent dentist visit, I'm not so sure anymore. She pointed out some gum inflammation and sensitivity that wasn't there before... and honestly, it freaked me out a bit. Teeth issues are no joke—I'd rather deal with quitting now than face bigger dental problems down the road. Better safe than sorry, right?
