Seriously, I dunno if it's just me or what, but ever since I started taking these new pills my doc prescribed, my mouth feels like sandpaper 24/7. Drinking water helps for like five minutes tops, then it's back to desert mode. It's driving me nuts, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. Anyone else dealing with this kinda thing or am I just lucky?

Yeah, been there myself—it's probably dry mouth from the meds. Had something similar when I was on allergy pills last year. Dentist told me saliva's actually super important for your teeth (who knew?), so you might wanna try sugar-free gum or lozenges to keep things flowing. Helped me a ton at night, too...nothing worse than waking up feeling like you've swallowed a cactus.
Yeah, sugar-free gum's a solid tip, but have you checked out those dry mouth rinses? They're not exactly cheap, but store brands usually do the trick without emptying your wallet. I used one when allergy meds turned my mouth into sandpaper last spring...worked better than just water for sure. Ever tried one of those? Might be worth a shot if gum alone isn't cutting it.

Ugh, been there myself—those rinses really saved me when my meds dried me out badly. Did you find the store brand tasted okay? Some can be a bit funky at first...but definitely worth it. Hang in there!

Yeah, dry mouth from meds is no joke. I had a similar issue when I was on antibiotics last year—felt like my tongue was glued to the roof of my mouth half the time. Those rinses were honestly a lifesaver, and I agree, some brands taste kinda weird at first. Took me a couple tries to find one that didn't make me cringe, lol. Also, chewing sugar-free gum helped me a lot during the day. It kept things moving and made it less uncomfortable between rinses or water breaks. Nighttime was still tricky though...I ended up keeping a humidifier next to my bed, which surprisingly made a noticeable difference. Might be worth trying if you're still struggling at night. Hang in there, it usually gets better once your body adjusts to the meds.
