Microwaving is my secret weapon too, especially since my teeth started protesting cold pizza in my seventies. I tried the fork and knife thing once—felt like I was at a fancy Italian place, but with less dignity. Honestly, a little sauce on my fingers beats that “chewing rubber” feeling any day.

Microwaving’s a total game-changer, right? I used to just tough it out with cold slices, but after getting braces, that was a no-go. I’ve found if you zap it for just 15-20 seconds, it gets soft enough without turning into mush. Sometimes I even wrap the slice in a damp paper towel—sounds weird, but it keeps the crust from getting too chewy. Honestly, messy fingers are a small price to pay for not having my teeth ache.

Microwaving pizza just makes me nervous for some reason... maybe I’m paranoid about soggy crust, but I always feel like the cheese goes weirdly rubbery? Still, with braces, I get why you’d do it—cold pizza is like biting into a brick. The damp paper towel trick sounds interesting though, never tried that. I’ve been cutting my slices into tiny pieces and eating them with a fork, which feels ridiculous but at least I don’t end up in pain. Does anyone else worry about stuff getting stuck in their brackets, or is that just me?

My kid’s had braces for a year now, and honestly, pizza night always turns into a whole thing. We’ve definitely done the tiny pieces with a fork—no shame there. The cheese getting stuck is a big worry for us too, especially with gooey slices. I usually keep a little pack of those orthodontic brushes handy, just in case. Have you tried reheating in a skillet instead of the microwave? It keeps the crust crispier, and the cheese doesn’t get as weird.

That’s a common one—sticky cheese loves to hide in brackets. Skillet reheating is a great call, though. Curious, have you noticed certain toppings are easier for your kid to handle, or is it all about the cheese?
