Last weekend, I was packing for a quick weekend trip and realized my toothbrush literally took up half my toiletry bag. I mean, it's not even electric or anything fancy, just one of those regular drugstore ones with a massive handle. Ended up awkwardly shoving it diagonally into the zipper part, and then it poked through the meshβ€”great.

Anyway, figured it's probably time to get one of those compact or foldable ones specifically for travel. I've seen a few online, but some look kinda flimsy or like they'd snap after two uses. Wondering if anyone's found one they really like that isn't garbage? Something small enough to actually fit comfortably in a tiny bag but still cleans your teeth properly. Or maybe I'm overthinking this whole toothbrush thing, haha... Has anyone else struggled with this weirdly specific packing annoyance?

I've tried a couple of those foldable toothbrushes, and yeah... some are definitely garbage. The plastic hinge always seems to be the weak spot. Have you considered just grabbing a kid's toothbrush from the drugstore? I switched to doing that a while ago, and honestly, it's way easier. They're smaller, lighter, and usually have slimmer handles, so they fit nicely even into tiny bags. Plus, they're cheap enough that if you lose one or leave it behind at a hotel, it's not a big deal.

If you're set on something specifically marketed for travel, Muji makes a pretty decent compact toothbrush. It's minimal, sturdy enough, and doesn't feel like it's about to snap after a few uses. Been using mine for about a year now and still going strong.

But really, a kid's toothbrush might be the simplest fix hereβ€”no moving parts, no hinges breaking, and it cleans your teeth just fine. Why complicate things, right?
