I always hated how that big ol’ mouthwash bottle just sat awkwardly on my bathroom counter, looking all out of place. Last week I grabbed one of those glass soap dispensers and poured it in—now it actually looks kinda classy, and no more knocking it over. Anyone else come up with clever ways to hide or store theirs?

That’s actually a smart move. I’ve been annoyed by the way those huge bottles clutter up the sink too, but never thought to use a soap dispenser. I just keep mine under the sink, but then I always forget to use it, which kinda defeats the purpose. Your way’s more practical and looks better, honestly. Plus, those glass dispensers are cheap if you catch them on sale. Nice upgrade without spending much.
I get what you’re saying about the glass dispenser looking nicer, but I’ve actually got a bit of a different take, especially with kids in the house. We tried the dispenser trick once, thinking it’d look fancier and make the morning routine smoother. It did look better, but then my son (he’s six) got really excited about “pumping” his own mouthwash and—well, let’s just say we ended up with a purple puddle all over the counter. The pump was just way too easy for him to go wild with, and suddenly he thought using mouthwash was some kind of game.
Maybe it’s just my little guy, but I started worrying about him accidentally swallowing too much or making a mess every time he brushed. I know some folks have older kids who’d probably be fine, but for us, keeping it in the original bottle with the childproof cap is just less stressful. Plus, the measuring cap helps keep track of how much they’re using—otherwise I’m constantly second-guessing if they’re using too much or too little.
I totally get wanting to keep things tidy (our bathroom counter is always a disaster zone), but sometimes those big bottles are there for a reason. At least until everyone’s old enough not to treat mouthwash like a science experiment... Maybe that’s just my house, though. If your crew is more coordinated than mine, I can see how the dispenser would be a win.
