Frozen peas were my go-to as well, but yeah, they thawed way faster than I expected. I ended up using a bag of frozen corn as backupβworked just as well and stayed colder longer for some reason. Warm saltwater rinses surprised me too; I was skeptical at first, but they really did ease the soreness. And puzzles...I got weirdly into jigsaw puzzles during recovery. Funny how our brains latch onto random hobbies when we're stuck healing. Glad I'm not the only one!

Yeah, totally agree on the saltwater thing. When I had my biopsy last year, I thought that advice was just some old-school remedy my grandma would suggest...but turns out grandma knew best after all. Also, I found myself randomly binge-watching cooking shows, even though I couldn't eat half the stuff they made. Weird coping mechanism, but hey, whatever gets us through recovery, right? Glad you're finding your groove with puzzles.
Did anyone else find certain foods or drinks unexpectedly helpful after their biopsy? I've heard mixed things about cold smoothiesβsome say they're soothing, others say the cold made their soreness worse. Curious what your experience was like...
I was pretty nervous before mine too, totally get where you're coming from. Honestly, I tried smoothies thinking they'd help, but the cold was a bit sharp for meβjust made things feel more sensitive. Weirdly enough, lukewarm soups and mashed potatoes were my lifesavers. Easy to swallow, didn't irritate anything, and felt comforting. Everyone heals differently though, so just listen to your body and go slow... you'll get through it quicker than you think.

Same here, thought smoothies would be perfect but nope... felt like brain freeze in my mouth, lol. Weirdly enough, room-temp oatmeal with a drizzle of honey was my go-to comfort food. Hang in there, it gets easier pretty fast.
