"felt like brain freeze in my mouth, lol."
Haha, exactly my experience too. I remember thinking smoothies would be gentle, but the cold just made everything ache more. Weirdly, lukewarm soups were my lifesaver—especially creamy potato or butternut squash. Something about the smooth texture and mild warmth really soothed the soreness without irritating the biopsy site. Also, rinsing gently with warm salt water helped speed things along. It does get better pretty quickly though... hang tight!
Haha, smoothies tricked me too—I thought they'd be soothing, but nope, instant regret. Weirdly enough, mashed potatoes were my hero food...warm, bland comfort at its finest. Hang in there, it'll ease up soon enough.

Couldn't agree more—mashed potatoes saved me too. Oatmeal was another surprisingly gentle option. Also, lukewarm chamomile tea helped soothe things without irritation...just avoid anything too hot or acidic for now. It'll get easier soon.
Mashed potatoes were okay for me, but honestly, oatmeal felt weirdly gritty and uncomfortable—like tiny bits getting stuck everywhere. Maybe it's just me being overly cautious, but I found creamy soups way easier to handle. Blended veggie soups (lukewarm, obviously) gave me nutrients without irritation. Just make sure to strain out any chunks...even tiny ones can feel huge when your mouth is healing.
Totally get what you mean about oatmeal—I thought it'd be soothing, but nope, gritty weirdness was real. Soups saved me too. Did smoothies work for you at all, or were they too cold and uncomfortable? I stuck mostly with room-temp stuff...
