Smoothies were a no-go for me—way too cold, made the soreness flare up. Honestly, lukewarm mashed potatoes were my best friend. Bland, yeah, but filling and gentle enough to get me through those rough first days...

Interesting, smoothies actually worked pretty well for my daughter, but we had to tweak them a bit. The cold was definitely an issue at first, so we started letting them sit out for about 10-15 minutes before drinking. It took the edge off the chill without making them taste weirdly warm. Also, we avoided acidic fruits like pineapple or oranges—those were a definite no-go. Bananas, avocado, and almond milk made a creamy, soothing combo that didn't irritate her mouth.

Mashed potatoes are great too, but after a couple days she got bored with them. We ended up trying oatmeal cooked extra soft and cooled down to room temp. A little cinnamon or honey (just a tiny bit) helped keep things interesting without causing any irritation. Everyone's different though, so it's all about experimenting gently to see what works best.

Smoothies were a lifesaver over here too, but yeah, the coldness was tricky. We ended up doing something similar—letting them sit out a bit. Honestly, your banana-avocado-almond milk combo sounds way better than ours (we tried spinach once... big mistake, lol). Oatmeal was pretty solid for us too, but after day three I could tell my kid was plotting rebellion. You're totally right though, it's all trial and error. Hang in there—it gets easier!

We did smoothies too, but honestly, lukewarm soup was the real MVP for us. I blended veggie soups until they were super smooth—sounds weird, but it worked. Also, scrambled eggs cooled down to room temp were surprisingly easy to handle. Totally agree on oatmeal burnout though... after a while, even pudding gets old. Glad to hear it gets easier eventually—I was starting to wonder!

Haha, seriously felt this. I remember after my biopsy, mashed potatoes became my best friend—warm, creamy, and surprisingly filling. Did you try those? Also, did anyone else find cold yogurt helpful? I know cold stuff can be tricky, but for me, it was soothing. Hang in there, it really does get easier after the first week or so.
