Blended soups were definitely easier for me. After my gum graft, chunky veggies felt too rough—even if they were soft. I stuck mostly to blended sweet potato and carrot soups...smooth but not overly thin.

"he wasn't really into cold or lukewarm stuff, said it felt weird, haha."
Totally get that! Room temp soups made my mouth feel sensitive too. Warm (not hot!) worked best for me...and healing seemed faster once I found the right texture and temp combo. Hang in there, it'll improve soon enough.

I found warm chamomile tea really soothing after my biopsy. Not hot, just gently warm...it seemed to calm the irritation and sensitivity quite a bit. Also, rinsing gently with salt water (lukewarm, not cold!) helped keep things clean without causing extra discomfort. Everyone heals a bit differently though, so it's good you're experimenting to find what works best for you. You're doing great—things definitely get easier after the first week or so.

Chamomile tea's a solid choice, gentle and soothing. I found lukewarm salt water rinses helpful too—keeps things clean without irritating the area. One thing I noticed was that avoiding acidic foods (like citrus or tomatoes) made a huge difference in comfort levels during healing. Did anyone else find certain foods particularly bothersome or helpful during recovery? Curious if it's just me being sensitive or if others had similar experiences...

Totally get why you'd steer clear of acidic stuff, but honestly, I didn't find tomatoes too bad. Weirdly enough, spicy foods were my nemesis—felt like fire on the biopsy site! On the flip side, cold smoothies with banana and yogurt were a lifesaver. Cooling, soothing, and nutritious without irritating anything. Guess everyone's mouth reacts differently... trial and error seems key here.

I had a similar experience with spicy foods—definitely learned that lesson the hard way, haha. For me, though, tomatoes were surprisingly irritating. I remember thinking a mild tomato soup would be gentle enough, but nope... felt like tiny needles poking at the biopsy spot. After that, I stuck mostly to soft scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, and oatmeal. Super budget-friendly and easy to prep too, which was a bonus.

One thing that really helped me was rinsing gently with lukewarm salt water after meals. It sounds kinda old-school, but it genuinely soothed the soreness and seemed to speed up healing. Just dissolve about half a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and swish gently for about 30 seconds—nothing fancy needed. Like you said, everyone's mouth reacts differently, but simple home remedies can sometimes make all the difference.
