I feel you on the tomato thing—thought ketchup would be safe but nope, instant regret. Salt water rinses were my go-to as well, though I kept mine pretty mild since too much salt felt stingy. Also found chilled yogurt soothing... not sure if it actually helped healing or just numbed things temporarily, but hey, whatever works right? Glad that's behind us now, haha.

Haha, totally agree—cold yogurt was a lifesaver for me too. Another cheap trick I found helpful was freezing chamomile tea into ice cubes. Super soothing and budget-friendly... plus chamomile's supposed to help healing, right? Glad we're past that stage now though, lol.

Cold yogurt and chamomile ice cubes sound like smart moves. Another thing I'd recommend is a simple saltwater rinse—just mix about half a teaspoon salt in a cup of warm water, swish gently for about 30 seconds, and spit. It's cheap, easy, and really helps keep things clean to speed up healing. Not exactly gourmet, but hey, whatever gets you through those first few days, right? Glad you're feeling better now!

Saltwater rinses are definitely a lifesaver—though I gotta admit, the first time my dentist suggested it, I thought he was pulling my leg. I mean, saltwater? Felt like something my grandma would recommend for everything from sore throats to heartbreak. But hey, turns out grandma knew her stuff.

One thing that worked wonders for me after my biopsy was sticking to room-temperature foods. I learned the hard way that hot soup and fresh stitches aren't exactly best friends. Lukewarm mashed potatoes became my gourmet meal of choice for a few days, and honestly, it wasn't half bad. Also, I found sipping drinks through a straw was a big no-no—apparently, it can mess with the healing process. Who knew?

Glad you're feeling better though. Those first couple days can be rough, but at least they make for good stories later on...

Haha, mashed potatoes were my staple too—definitely underrated comfort food. I agree about the straw thing; my dentist warned me about dry sockets after a tooth extraction, so I figured better safe than sorry with the biopsy stitches too. Did anyone else's dentist recommend ice packs to help with swelling? Mine didn't mention it, but I've heard mixed opinions...
