I switched to a cordless model last year thinking it'd be easier for travel... honestly, it felt like a gentle drizzle compared to my countertop's power wash. 😂 My gums weren't impressed, especially around my implant. Ended up going back to the clunky beast—guess I'm stuck with countertop life for now. If anyone finds a cordless that packs a punch without feeling like torture, I'm all ears.

Totally get what you're saying about the cordless ones feeling weak... I tried one too, thinking it'd simplify my routine, but it barely tickled my gums. Weirdly though, my dentist mentioned some newer cordless models have improved pressure settings—maybe worth checking out? Still, countertop seems like the safer bet for now, especially if implants are involved. Glad I'm not alone in this struggle, haha.

I hear you on the countertop being more reliable, but honestly, I've had a totally different experience with cordless. I recently switched to one of those newer cordless models (the ones with adjustable pressure settings), and it's surprisingly powerful—definitely not the weak trickle I expected. Plus, it's way easier to maneuver around implants without wrestling with cords or hoses. Might be worth giving cordless another shot if you find the right model... just my two cents though.

Interesting, because my experience has been a bit different. I tried one of those newer cordless models too, and while it was convenient, I found the pressure inconsistent as the battery drained. Maybe it's just me being picky, but I prefer knowing the countertop version will deliver steady pressure every single time. Plus, refilling that tiny reservoir mid-session got old fast... Guess it depends on your priorities.

Hmm, interesting points. I've actually found the cordless models surprisingly consistent—at least the newer ones with lithium-ion batteries. I get what you're saying about the reservoir though, it can be a hassle. But honestly, for me, the countertop version just takes up way too much space. Maybe it's just my tiny bathroom, but countertop clutter drives me nuts... I'd rather refill once mid-floss than sacrifice my limited counter real estate. Guess it's all about trade-offs, huh?
