That’s exactly how I feel about my countertop one—can’t say it’s pretty, but my gums are happier for it. I noticed the bleeding went way down, too. Tried a cordless for a bit, but honestly, the pressure just didn’t cut it for me. I’ll take the bulky tank and better results, even if it hogs half my sink.

You’re speaking my language. My countertop’s about as subtle as a lawnmower, but my dentist stopped nagging me about bleeding gums. Did you ever try refilling that cordless mid-floss? I nearly watered the cat.

I get the countertop love, but honestly, have you compared the price tags? Those things aren’t cheap, and they use up way more space and electricity. I went with a cordless for the budget—it’s not perfect, but I can stash it in a drawer and charge it every few days. Refilling mid-floss is annoying, but is it really a dealbreaker? I’d rather save the cash and deal with a couple extra refills than blow $100+ for a tank that eats my bathroom. Anyone else thinking about the long-term costs?

I hear you on the price and space thing—my first countertop took up half the sink and sounded like a jet engine. But honestly, after trying both, I stuck with the countertop because my gums were a mess before, and it just works better for me. That said, I totally get why the cordless is appealing, especially if you’re tight on cash or bathroom real estate. Refilling isn’t my favorite chore either, but I guess you get used to it? For me, it was about what actually got my mouth feeling clean...but yeah, not everyone wants to drop that kind of money.

I totally relate to the jet engine noise—mine sounds like it could take off if I’m not careful. But as someone with braces, I found the countertop one actually gets all the gunk out from around the brackets way better than the cordless did. Refilling is a pain, but I guess I’d rather deal with that than food stuck in my wires. Has anyone with orthodontics had luck with a cordless model, or am I just missing out on some secret hack?
