Just wish there was a way to make soft food feel less... sad?

Totally get that. After my wisdom teeth came out, I was desperate for anything that didn’t taste like bland mush. Greek yogurt was a lifesaver for me too, but yeah, the price adds up fast—especially if you’re eating it for every meal. I actually started mixing in a little olive oil and lemon juice, which sounds weird but really perks it up.

Pureed veggies are a solid option if you have the energy to cook. I did a batch of sweet potatoes with a bit of smoked paprika and garlic powder—way more flavor than plain mashed potatoes, and honestly, not that much work.

If you’re looking for something with more texture, ricotta cheese mixed with herbs is surprisingly good and not as pricey as some yogurts. It’s not going to win any culinary awards, but at least it doesn’t feel like you’re eating baby food all week.

The “sad” part is real, though. I remember the first cup of real soup after a week of pudding felt like a gourmet meal.
