I dunno, avocado smoothies always sounded great in theory but ended up tasting like cold guacamole to me...not exactly what I'm craving after oral surgery, lol. I tried blending mine with chocolate protein powder and peanut butter to mask the avocado taste, but it just got weirdly thick and kinda funky. Honestly, I found greek yogurt smoothies way easier to handle—still creamy but without that lingering avocado aftertaste. Plus, yogurt's got that tangy kick that helps cut through the blandness when you're stuck on a liquid diet. But hey, maybe my tastebuds are just broken... wouldn't be the first time someone told me that.

Totally agree about the avocado thing...I tried it once after my wisdom teeth removal and it was just too savory for me. Ended up sticking with banana-yogurt smoothies—safe, simple, and no weird aftertaste to stress about.

Yeah, avocado smoothies can be hit or miss for sure. I tried one after my root canal thinking it'd be a nice change from the usual sweet stuff, but it just felt...wrong? Like drinking guacamole without the chips. Greek yogurt smoothies are definitely easier to handle, especially if you toss in some frozen berries or peaches to mix things up. Banana-yogurt is solid too, but did you find it filling enough? I always felt hungry again pretty quickly after those. Wondering if adding oats or peanut butter might help keep me full longer without messing up the taste too much. Has anyone experimented with that combo post-surgery?

Peanut butter is a lifesaver, seriously. My daughter had her wisdom teeth out last summer, and we did banana-peanut butter smoothies almost daily. Tossed in a spoonful of oats sometimes too—didn't mess up the taste at all, just made it creamier and more filling. She actually preferred it that way. Definitely beats the "guacamole smoothie" experience...been there, done that, never again lol.

Peanut butter smoothies were a hit here too, but oats always ended up gritty for us...maybe I wasn't blending long enough? Did you soak them first or just toss them straight in dry?
