Interesting you found chicken broth hit-or-miss—I actually found it consistently soothing, especially homemade versions without too much salt or seasoning. Wonder if the irritation you felt might've been due to additives or spices? Also, avocado was tricky for me. Loved the taste, but tiny bits would sometimes get lodged near stitches...did you mash yours super smooth? Curious how others handled that.

Chicken broth was actually a no-go for me post-surgery, even homemade. I found the warmth soothing initially, but it left my mouth feeling oddly dry afterward—maybe it's just my sensitivity to sodium, even in small amounts. Weirdly enough, chilled smoothies were my lifesaver instead. About avocado, I agree it's tricky. I ended up blending mine into smoothies rather than mashing it; that way I avoided those sneaky bits getting stuck near stitches. Worked wonders for me.

Interesting, chicken broth actually worked pretty well for me, but I had to go super low-sodium. Regular broth made my mouth feel weirdly tight and uncomfortable. Smoothies were great, but cold stuff made me anxious about sensitivity... room temp was my sweet spot.

Low-sodium broth was my go-to as well. Regular broth left me feeling oddly dehydrated, probably from all that salt. I also found lukewarm mashed sweet potatoes surprisingly comforting—easy to eat and didn't trigger sensitivity issues like cold smoothies did. Room temp definitely seems underrated when recovering from oral surgery...

Totally agree about room temp foods being underrated. Applesauce was my lifesaver—easy to swallow and didn't irritate anything. Warm tea (not hot!) also helped soothe soreness without causing sensitivity issues. Hang in there, recovery goes quicker than you'd think...
