"I actually found lukewarm smoothies way easier too—cold stuff made my teeth ache like crazy."

Totally relate to this. After my wisdom teeth came out, I thought I'd be smart and stock up on ice cream...big mistake. Cold sensitivity was no joke. Ended up making room-temp oatmeal smoothies with cinnamon, honey, and almond milk. Looked questionable at best, but honestly tasted comforting and didn't trigger any tooth pain. Never thought I'd prefer lukewarm oatmeal over ice cream, but here we are...

Interesting take, but I'd be cautious with oatmeal smoothies right after surgery. Tiny oatmeal bits could get stuck in the extraction sites...maybe something smoother like mashed bananas or avocado would be safer at first? Just a thought.

Good point about the oatmeal bits—I hadn't thought of that. Bananas and avocado are definitely safer bets early on. Another good option is yogurt (without fruit chunks, obviously). When I had my wisdom teeth out, I practically lived off Greek yogurt smoothies and blended soups for a few days. Trust me, you won't miss chewing as much as you think...at least not right away. 😉

Yogurt smoothies are great, but honestly, after my surgery I got tired of sweet stuff pretty fast. Ended up blending savory things like mashed potatoes with broth...sounds weird, but trust me, it hits the spot when you're craving real food.

Mashed potatoes and broth, huh? Ever tried blending up mac 'n cheese? Sounds wrong, I know...but desperate times call for desperate measures. Hang in there—soon enough you'll be chewing steak again.
