Had something similar happen when I first got braces. My gums started bleeding randomly, and I figured it was just irritation from the brackets or something. Tried rinsing with saltwater and being gentler with flossing, but it didn't fully go away. Ended up mentioning it at my next ortho appointment, and turns out I wasn't flossing deep enough around the wires. Once I adjusted my flossing technique, things cleared up pretty fast. Maybe double-check how you're flossing before shelling out for a dentist visit? Just a thought...

Good point, but honestly, if the bleeding sticks around even after adjusting your flossing technique, I'd still consider getting it checked out. Home remedies can help temporarily, but persistent bleeding gums could signal something else like gingivitis or even an infection. Better safe than sorry, right? Plus, dentists can spot stuff we might miss at home... just my two cents.
