Glad to hear yogurt worked for you...but honestly, I had a slightly different experience. Yogurt actually increased my sensitivity a bit—I think it might've been the acidity rather than temperature. Weirdly enough, room-temperature oatmeal was my go-to comfort food for a couple days afterward. Everyone's teeth react differently though, so just keep an open mind and maybe have a few options ready in case yogurt doesn't do the trick.

Haha, oatmeal, huh? Never would've guessed that one. I tried yogurt too, and honestly, it wasn't terrible, but I get what you mean about the acidity—definitely felt a bit of a zing. Ended up sticking mostly to mashed potatoes (lukewarm, of course) and smoothies without citrus. Speaking of sensitivity though, did anyone else notice their teeth reacting differently to hot vs cold foods afterward? Cold was brutal for me, but hot drinks were surprisingly okay...weird how that works.

Yeah, totally get you on the hot vs cold thing. For me, cold was like torture—ice cream was off-limits for almost a week, which sucked. But strangely, coffee and tea didn't bother me at all. Go figure. I remember trying soup thinking I'd regret it, but nope, it was fine. Weirdest part was brushing my teeth—felt like tiny electric shocks if the water was even slightly chilly. Never thought I'd be microwaving tap water just to brush my teeth comfortably, haha. Glad that's behind me now...

Totally relate to the brushing teeth part—honestly thought I was losing my mind when lukewarm water felt freezing! Weirdly though, hot drinks were a no-go for me. Tried sipping coffee like usual and it was like my teeth were yelling at me for days. The sensitivity gel they gave me definitely helped, but I still ended up drinking everything through a straw for a while (even coffee, which felt pretty ridiculous...). Soup was surprisingly fine for me too, as long as it wasn't steaming hot. Guess everyone reacts differently.

Funny you mention microwaving tap water—I remember filling my water bottle with room-temp water before bed just so I wouldn't shock myself awake in the morning. Pretty sure my family thought I'd lost it, haha. Glad we both survived the weirdness though; having brighter teeth now feels worth the temporary drama.

I had a similar thing happen with cold air—like just breathing in on a chilly morning felt like tiny needles hitting my teeth. Weirdly enough, coffee wasn't too bad for me, but ice cream was a total nightmare. I remember trying to eat some vanilla ice cream after dinner and instantly regretting it...felt like my teeth were vibrating or something. Sensitivity gel helped a bit, but honestly, patience was the real solution. Glad that's over now, but yeah, definitely worth it in the end.
