"Sensitive toothpaste is a must, though."

Totally agree on the sensitive toothpaste—saved me big time after my whitening session. Funny thing, though, my orthodontist mentioned drinking coffee through a straw to minimize staining...anyone actually tried that? Seems kinda awkward to me.

I've actually tried the straw thing with coffee, and honestly...it felt super weird. Maybe it's just me being overly cautious (as usual), but I kept worrying about spilling hot coffee everywhere. Plus, it didn't feel like I was really enjoying my coffee properly, you know? Sensitive toothpaste definitely helped more in my case. Now I just try to rinse my mouth with water right after drinking coffee—seems easier and less stressful.

Totally get what you mean about the straw thing feeling off...coffee is such a sensory experience, and sipping through a straw just doesn't hit the same. But I'm curious—does rinsing with water right after actually help much? My dentist mentioned waiting at least 30 minutes before brushing or rinsing to avoid enamel damage. Maybe it's different for everyone, though. Glad the sensitive toothpaste worked for you!

Yeah, I've heard mixed things about rinsing right after coffee. My dentist actually suggested just swishing briefly with water to dilute the acidity, rather than a full rinse or brushing right away. Been doing it for years now, and my enamel seems fine—no extra sensitivity or anything. Might depend on your teeth though...everyone's different. Glad you found something that helps!

I've been doing the quick water swish thing too, mostly because I'm too lazy (and cheap, lol) to buy special rinses. Honestly, my teeth feel fine, and my dentist hasn't complained yet. But yeah, teeth are weirdly individual—my sister brushes right after coffee every day and swears by it, no issues at all. Guess it's just trial and error till you find what your teeth like...or tolerate, haha. Glad your method's working out!
