Slightly cloudy retainer, but how much fit change matters?
How can you tell whether brief exposure to hot water or a warm environment has changed a clear retainer’s shape enough to affect how it fits? Cloudiness or slight discoloration seems different from a physical change, but I’m not sure how much weight to give a small gap or a retainer that rocks instead of sitting evenly.
If it feels newly tight on particular teeth or won’t seat as it used to, should it stay out until an orthodontist checks it? I’d be wary of trying to reshape it or forcing it into place.
