Just found out I might need a root canal (ugh), and now I'm scrambling to figure out if my dental insurance actually covers it or if I'll end up selling a kidney or something, haha. Got me thinking, do most of you guys have dental plans that cover root canals fully, partially, or like...not at all? Quick poll:
- Fully covered, no worries here
- Covered partially, still hurts my wallet
- Nope, paying full price (ouch)
- Um, insurance? What's that?
"Covered partially, still hurts my wallet"
Yep, this is me. My insurance covers like half, but honestly, even that feels like a cruel joke when you see the actual bill. Last year I had to get one done, and after my insurance did their thing, I still ended up paying enough to make me question if chewing on the other side forever was a viable option. Seriously considered dental tourism at one point... anyone else ever thought about that?
