Had to get a root canal recently and learned the hard way how pricey it can be. One thing that helped was asking upfront about payment plans—turns out my dentist had options they didn't advertise openly. Curious if anyone else has sneaky ways to save some cash on dental stuff?

Yeah, dentists can be sneaky like that, lol. I once casually mentioned being a student and suddenly got offered a discount—never knew that was even a thing. Makes me wonder what other secret discounts they're hiding... anyone ever tried negotiating prices directly? Feels awkward, but hey, teeth ain't cheap.
