Just saw a news story about dental treatments and how more people are choosing tooth extraction instead of root canals because it's cheaper and quicker. Kinda surprised me, honestly. I mean, I've had a root canal myself, and yeah, it wasn't exactly fun (understatement of the year), but I'm glad I kept my tooth. But then again, I get why some folks might just wanna yank it out and be done with itβespecially if money's tight or they're scared of dentists.
The article also mentioned that pulling teeth can lead to other issues down the road, like shifting teeth or jaw problems. Never really thought about that before. Makes sense though, right? Teeth aren't exactly independent little islands in there, lol.
Anyway, curious what others think about this. Would you rather tough it out and keep your tooth, or just say goodbye and move on?
Had a root canal once...definitely wasn't my idea of a good time, but glad I stuck it out. Friend of mine went the extraction route and ended up with teeth shifting aroundβnow he's dealing with braces at 35, lol. So yeah, tempting as it is to just wave goodbye to the troublemaker, I'd rather keep the tooth drama contained to one tooth.
