It's great that things have stayed stable for you, but I'd just add a quick caution: sometimes minor orthodontic issues can seem unchanged on the surface, yet subtly shift over years. Regular checkups can catch these early, avoiding bigger fixes down the road... just something to consider.

You know, that's a fair point, but sometimes I wonder if orthodontists can be a bit overly cautious. When my daughter was younger, our dentist kept flagging her teeth as "something to watch," and we stressed about braces for years. Turns out, things sorted themselves out naturally as she grew. Obviously, regular checkups are important, but I think sometimes minor issues do resolve on their own... so maybe it's okay not to stress too much between visits?

I hear ya on that one... my dentist once told me I had a tooth "on the verge" of trouble. Spent months worrying I'd bite into an apple and lose it, but here I am years later, tooth intact and still chomping apples just fine. Dentists mean well, but sometimes nature knows best.

I get your point, dentists can sometimes sound overly cautious... but honestly, I've had the opposite experience. Ignored a dentist's warning once, thinking nature would sort it out, and ended up needing a root canal. Better safe than sorry, I guess?

Ouch, that's rough... but honestly, you're not alone. I've seen plenty of patients who've tried the "wait and see" approach. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. Curious—what usually makes you decide to trust or ignore dental advice?
