Got a dental surgery coming up soon and honestly, kinda nervous about the anesthesia part. Never had anything more than novocaine before. Anyone got experience with sedation or general anesthesia? Which worked better for you?

I totally get your anxiety...had sedation dentistry myself last year and honestly, it went smoother than I expected. They gave me IV sedation, and I was out enough that I barely remember anything, but apparently still responsive. Woke up feeling pretty groggy though, took me a bit to shake it off. Has anyone here tried oral sedation instead? Curious if it's less intense afterward compared to IV.
