Glad your grandson did okay... I'm scheduled for IV sedation next week and feeling pretty anxious. Did he mention if the sedation made him feel groggy or weird afterward? Just curious what I should expect recovery-wise.

IV sedation was honestly a breeze for me—felt a bit fuzzy afterward, but nothing too weird. Just make sure someone drives you home and maybe plan a chill evening. Have you considered laughing gas instead, or are you set on IV?

IV sedation sounds like it went smoothly for you, but honestly, laughing gas might be underrated here. I had IV sedation a few years back, and while it was fine during the procedure, afterward I felt like I'd been on an all-night Netflix binge—groggy and kinda out of it for hours. Not terrible, but not exactly a walk in the park either.

Laughing gas, on the other hand... that stuff is a hidden gem. Had it twice now, and both times I was relaxed enough to not care about the dentist digging around, yet clear-headed enough to drive myself home afterward (bonus points for convenience). Sure, you might giggle at random stuff or feel a bit floaty, but it's mild and wears off quick. Plus, no needle anxiety—big win if you're squeamish like me.

Everyone's different though, so your mileage might vary. Just wanted to toss in my two cents since IV sedation isn't always as breezy as some make it sound.

Totally get why laughing gas sounds appealing—especially if you're watching your budget. IV sedation usually costs a bit more and recovery takes longer. Did you notice a big price difference between the two options at your dentist? Curious if it's worth the extra cash...

When I had my wisdom teeth out, laughing gas was definitely cheaper—think it saved me around $150 or so. Honestly, it worked fine for me...felt relaxed enough without the heavier sedation. Guess it depends how anxious you feel about dental stuff?
