Had to get a minor procedure done recently and was pretty nervous about the sedation part. Nurse told me to focus on something relaxing or pleasant as they gave me the meds. So I started mentally replaying my favorite vacation memory (beach, waves, ice cream...you know, the good stuff). Worked like a charm, felt calm and drifted off easy. Curious if anyone else has their own little mental tricks or routines for staying relaxed during sedation?

Interesting approach, but honestly, visualizing stuff never really worked for me. I tend to get caught up in details and lose the relaxing vibe. Instead, I count backwards slowly from 100...usually don't even make it past 85 before I'm out cold.
