I've tried the gum thing too, and honestly, I thought it was just me imagining things at first, haha. But yeah, rinsing after tea or coffee definitely helps—simple but effective. Another trick I've found useful is brushing gently with baking soda once in a while. Not every day (don't wanna overdo it), but occasionally it gives a nice little boost overnight. Worth a shot if you're looking for something quick and easy...just don't go crazy with it.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who thought the gum thing was just placebo! I've tried baking soda too, and yeah, it does work pretty well if you're careful. Another random trick I stumbled upon (thanks to a late-night YouTube binge) is using activated charcoal powder. Sounds weird, I know—like brushing your teeth with dirt—but it actually works surprisingly well. Just dip your toothbrush in a tiny bit of charcoal powder, brush gently for a minute or two, then rinse thoroughly. Fair warning though: it makes your sink look like a horror movie set, so be prepared to clean up afterward...and maybe don't wear your favorite shirt while doing it. But hey, it's cheap and effective if you're looking for a quick fix before an event or something. Just don't overdo it either—once every couple weeks is plenty.

Activated charcoal definitely has its fans, but as someone in the dental field, I'm always a bit cautious about abrasiveness. Have you noticed any sensitivity after using it regularly, or has it been pretty gentle overall? Curious about your experience...

I've tried activated charcoal a few times—honestly, didn't notice sensitivity, but my gums felt kinda irritated afterward. Maybe it depends on brand or frequency? Have you considered gentler whitening strips instead...might be easier on your enamel.

Activated charcoal was a no-go for me too—felt like I was chewing gritty sandpaper and my gums weren't fans of the experience either. Tried whitening strips once before a wedding, but ended up drooling like a Saint Bernard for half an hour...not my finest moment. Honestly, brushing with baking soda toothpaste the night before usually does the trick for me without all the drama. Maybe worth a shot if you're in a pinch?
