Ugh, glad I'm not the only one who freaked out about swallowing it. First time I tried oil pulling, I literally stood over the sink the entire time just in case... felt kinda silly afterward. But yeah, starting small definitely helps ease into it. And distraction is key—I usually scroll through my phone or something. Teeth did feel smoother pretty quick, but brighter overnight? Not so sure about that one. Still worth sticking with though, imo.

Haha, totally get you on the sink thing—I still hover nearby just in case, even after doing it for months. You're definitely not alone there. Honestly, I haven't noticed overnight miracles either, but my teeth do feel cleaner and smoother overall. Maybe it's more of a gradual thing? Anyway, you're doing great easing into it slowly... distractions are a lifesaver for sure. Hang in there, it gets easier!

I've noticed the same thing—overnight results are pretty rare, honestly. It always seems more gradual to me too. Have you tried brushing with baking soda occasionally? I don't do it often (maybe once a week), but it does seem to give my teeth a bit of an extra polish by morning. Just be careful not to overdo it, since it's abrasive. Also heard some folks swear by using activated charcoal toothpaste, but I've never tried it myself... anyone actually had success with that? Curious if it's legit or just hype.

I've actually tried the activated charcoal toothpaste a few times, and honestly, didn't see much of a difference myself. Plus, my dentist warned me it's pretty abrasive too—maybe even more than baking soda—so I'd be cautious with that one. If you're looking for something gentler, have you thought about oil pulling? It's not an overnight miracle either, but after doing it regularly for a couple weeks, I noticed my teeth looking brighter overall... might be worth considering if you're patient enough.

I hear you on the charcoal toothpaste—I gave it a shot myself a while back, and it mostly just made a mess in my sink without much payoff, haha. Oil pulling sounds interesting too, though personally I never stuck with it long enough to see real results. But I do remember my dentist mentioning that consistency is key with these gentler methods. Good on you for keeping at it and noticing a difference; patience really pays off with dental care, doesn't it?
