"Has anyone tried scrambled eggs during recovery? Seems soft enough, but I'm wondering if they'd be too chewy or sticky."

Scrambled eggs were actually my go-to after getting veneers done. They're pretty soft, but I found they can get a bit sticky if they're overcooked or dry. Adding a little milk or cheese helped keep them moist and easier to manage. Cold foods definitely felt better for me too—warm stuff seemed to make the soreness worse somehow. Weird how temperature makes such a difference...

Did anyone else find yogurt helpful? I stuck mostly to smoothies at first, but yogurt was gentle enough and felt soothing on sensitive gums. Just curious if others had similar experiences or if it was just me being overly cautious again...

Scrambled eggs were actually one of the first things I tried after my extraction, and honestly, they weren't too bad. Definitely agree that keeping them moist helps—dry eggs tend to stick a bit and made me nervous about irritating the area. I added some butter and cooked them gently on low heat... seemed to do the trick.

Yogurt was my lifesaver though. Something about the coolness really soothed my gums, especially Greek yogurt since it's thicker and felt more filling. Smoothies were great at first, but after a couple days I got kinda bored with drinking all my meals, haha. Mashed potatoes were good too, but for some reason warm foods made me feel more sensitive at first—maybe it's just psychological?

Honestly, I was probably overly cautious too, but better safe than sorry when it comes to healing. Glad I'm not the only one who worried about scrambled eggs being "too chewy," lol.

Honestly, I felt the same way at first. Warm foods always seemed to highlight that "just had dental work" feeling for me, even if they weren't actually irritating anything physically. Maybe it's a mental thing, like associating warmth with inflammation or something?

Scrambled eggs were definitely my go-to as well—though you're right about keeping them moist. Learned the hard way when a dry egg made me panic for a sec, thinking I'd ruined everything, haha. One thing that surprisingly worked great for me was cold applesauce. Not super filling, but the coolness and smooth texture felt amazing on my gums.

Also, smoothies... yeah, I feel you on getting bored fast. By day 3, I was dreaming of literally anything solid—even stuff I normally don't care for. Funny how quickly you miss chewing.

I get what you're saying about warm foods feeling weird at first, but honestly, warm broth was a lifesaver for me. It actually felt soothing rather than irritating, especially chicken broth—maybe because it's thinner and doesn't linger as much? Cold stuff like applesauce was nice too, but sometimes the chill made my teeth feel extra sensitive. Funny how different everyone reacts... guess it really depends on your own mouth's quirks.

I see your point about warm broth, but honestly, lukewarm or room-temp foods worked way better for me. Warm stuff—even broth—sometimes made my gums feel swollen or achy afterward. I found that room-temperature yogurt or pudding was gentler overall. Weirdly enough, scrambled eggs cooled down to just above room temp were a lifesaver by day 4... soft enough to eat without chewing much, but still felt like real food. Guess everyone's mouth heals differently though.
