You know, it's funny—I actually found smoothies to be a total lifesaver after my extraction, even the sweeter ones. I wonder if it's less about sugar itself and more about certain fruits or acidic ingredients causing irritation? Banana-based smoothies with almond milk, for example, were super gentle for me. But I completely agree on the herbal tea front—mint tea was my go-to. Maybe everyone's mouth just reacts differently...or maybe it's a combo of acidity and temperature rather than sweetness alone? Just my two cents.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I'm scheduled for my first extraction next week and honestly feeling pretty anxious about the whole thing. I've been reading up on what foods to stock up on, and smoothies keep popping up everywhere. Good to know banana and almond milk worked well for you—I'll definitely give that a shot. Mint tea sounds soothing too, might help calm my nerves a bit.

I guess it makes sense that acidity could be the real culprit rather than sugar itself. I've heard citrus fruits can be rough after dental procedures, so maybe that's part of it? Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience—it helps hearing what's worked (or hasn't) for others. Fingers crossed my mouth cooperates!

I had a similar experience after my extraction—smoothies were a lifesaver, but citrus definitely made things worse. I tried orange juice once and regretted it immediately...ouch. Mint tea was great though, really soothing and gentle. Honestly, everyone's mouth heals differently, so just listen to your body and adjust as you go. You'll get through it quicker than you think. Good luck!

Mint tea's definitely underrated—wish I'd known that sooner. Personally, lukewarm soups saved me; warm enough to comfort but not hot enough to hurt. And yeah, citrus post-extraction... instant regret mode activated.

Mint tea was a lifesaver for me too, honestly. I remember thinking it'd be too mild to help, but it was exactly what my sore gums needed. Lukewarm soups were okay, but I got bored fast—ended up blending random stuff just to mix things up (avocado smoothie anyone?). And yeah...

Been there, done that. Thought lemon sorbet would be refreshing—nope, just pain and sadness.
