Chocolate pudding is definitely a classic, but honestly, I found cold applesauce way more soothing. Maybe it's just me, but the slight tartness felt refreshing after days of overly sweet smoothies and puddings. Totally agree about the seed issue though—blueberry smoothies were my downfall. Thought they'd be safe, but nope... those tiny seeds sneak up on you when you least expect it.

And about the saltwater rinses—I actually found them pretty comforting once I got past the initial sting. The trick for me was using warm water instead of room temp; it made a huge difference in how gentle it felt. But yeah, everyone's different. Glad we're all past the gritty-seed phase now, haha.

Totally feel you on the applesauce—cheap, easy, and honestly underrated. But saltwater rinses comforting? Nah, can't relate there...felt like gargling ocean water to me. Glad we're all past the mushy-food-only stage though, chewing is seriously underrated.

Haha, exactly! Saltwater rinses never felt comforting to me either...more like a necessary evil. But honestly, applesauce was a lifesaver. Did anyone else try yogurt? I found Greek yogurt super helpful—filling enough to keep hunger away, plus the coolness felt soothing on my gums. Still, totally agree chewing is underrated. You never realize how much you miss crunchy snacks until you're stuck with mushy stuff for days.

Greek yogurt was definitely a staple for me too. I remember stocking up on those little cups before my wisdom teeth came out, thinking I'd be all set. But after a few days, even the best yogurt gets old real fast. One thing I didn't anticipate was how much I'd crave savory foods. Sweet smoothies and applesauce were fine at first, but by day three I was desperate for something salty or savory.

I ended up making mashed sweet potatoes with a bit of garlic and butter—just enough flavor to feel like a real meal without irritating my gums. Honestly, it felt like a gourmet feast after days of smoothies and yogurt! Another surprising lifesaver was scrambled eggs. Soft enough to swallow easily, but still substantial enough to feel satisfying.

Funny you mention the saltwater rinses feeling like "gargling ocean water," because that's exactly how I'd describe it too. As uncomfortable as they were though, from a dental standpoint, they're actually incredibly beneficial. They help reduce swelling and inflammation, and the salt creates an environment that's less friendly to bacteria. Still, knowing that didn't make them taste any better!

One thing I've always wondered—did anyone else experience sensitivity to temperature changes afterward? For me, even room temperature water felt oddly uncomfortable at first. Took me a good week or so before things felt normal again. Curious if that was just me or if others noticed something similar...

Greek yogurt was my go-to at first too, but like you said, after a couple days I was craving something savory. Scrambled eggs were a lifesaver for sure—soft, warm, and actually felt like real food. I also tried blending soups, which sounds kinda weird, but honestly wasn't half bad. Tomato basil soup blended smooth was surprisingly comforting.

Yeah, totally felt that. Cold drinks were the worst for me—felt like an electric shock sometimes. Even lukewarm water was uncomfortable for a few days. I ended up drinking everything at room temp or slightly warm, which wasn't exactly refreshing, but it helped. Did anyone else find themselves weirdly missing crunchy foods? I swear, by day four I was dreaming about chips and popcorn...
