Yeah, totally agree about the lukewarm soups. I remember thinking I'd be all about milkshakes and ice cream too, but turns out cold stuff made my jaw ache like crazy. Weirdly enough, scrambled eggs (cooled down a bit) were my lifesaver—soft enough to swallow without chewing and felt way more satisfying than applesauce or smoothies after day two. Everyone's different though, so just keep options open...and stock up on Netflix shows to distract yourself from the boredom, lol.

Haha, same here! Scrambled eggs were a total game changer for me too. Honestly, mashed potatoes got old real quick. One thing I didn't expect to enjoy was lukewarm oatmeal...sounds kinda gross, but it really hit the spot. And yeah, Netflix marathons are essential—got through a whole season of a show I never thought I'd watch. Good luck!
Scrambled eggs were definitely a lifesaver for me too, but honestly, after day three I was craving something with a bit more flavor. Weirdly enough, I ended up really liking slightly warm mac and cheese—just cooked it extra soft and let it cool down a bit. Sounds kinda gross now that I think about it, but at the time it felt like gourmet dining compared to smoothies and applesauce, haha.
Netflix marathons are great, but did anyone else find themselves getting restless after a while? I tried reading to switch things up, but the pain meds made me so sleepy I'd barely get through a chapter before dozing off. Did you guys manage to stay awake through your shows or books, or was it nap city for everyone else too?

Yeah, my son got super restless too. He'd start a show and then drift off halfway through... Pain meds knocked him right out. Did anyone else's kid get anxious about eating solids again after healing? Mine was pretty hesitant...
My daughter was exactly the same way. She'd start a movie, then halfway through she'd be scrolling on her phone or just zoning out. Honestly, I think the meds made her feel kinda foggy and restless at the same time. And yeah, solids were tricky for us too—she was convinced chewing would hurt again, even after she healed. Took a few days of gentle coaxing and lots of soft pasta dishes before she trusted regular food again...
