"Scrambled eggs worked better for me, but weirdly enough, dairy didn't irritate mine at all...maybe it depends on the person?"

Yeah, I think you're onto something with the whole "depends on the person" thing. Dairy was a bit tricky for me personally—I tried yogurt thinking it'd be soothing, but it ended up making my extraction site feel kinda achy and irritated. Maybe it was the acidity or something? But then again, smoothies with milk were totally fine. Go figure.

Honestly, scrambled eggs were my lifesaver too—soft, filling, and no sneaky bits to get stuck in there. I also found mashed avocado pretty comforting (bonus points for healthy fats!). It's funny how everyone's mouth reacts differently to foods you'd think would be universally safe. Guess our mouths just like to keep us guessing...

I had a similar experience with dairy, actually. Yogurt was fine for me, but ice cream—something I thought would be soothing—ended up making my extraction site feel sensitive and uncomfortable. Maybe it was the cold temperature or sugar content? Who knows. Scrambled eggs were definitely a winner though; they're affordable, easy to prepare, and gentle enough not to irritate anything.

Mashed potatoes were another budget-friendly lifesaver for me. I made a big batch and reheated portions throughout the week—super convenient when you're not feeling your best. Also, soups (especially blended veggie soups) were comforting and nutritious without breaking the bank.

You're right about everyone's mouth reacting differently. It's reassuring to hear others had similar experiences; makes you realize there's no one-size-fits-all recovery diet. Glad you're finding foods that work well for you!

Same here with ice cream—my daughter complained it made her gums sting, maybe the sugar? We stuck mostly to lukewarm oatmeal and smoothies. Definitely agree on mashed potatoes though, easy and safe choice. Glad others found similar tricks helpful.

Could be the sugar, or maybe just the cold itself? I remember after my wisdom teeth came out, I thought ice cream would be my best friend—turns out we had a falling out pretty quickly. Smoothies were a lifesaver, though I got pretty creative after day three. Ever tried blending mashed potatoes into soup? Sounds weird, but trust me, desperate times call for desperate culinary measures...

Could also be acidity from fruit in the smoothies—I learned that one the hard way. Bananas and yogurt were my go-to, cheap and gentle on sore gums. Mashed potato soup sounds like genius, though. Wish I'd thought of that! I mostly survived on lukewarm oatmeal and scrambled eggs... boring but budget-friendly and no stinging gums.
