Had a tooth yanked yesterday and things got a bit messy afterward. Here's what I did: first, bit down on gauze pads firmly for like 30 mins to stop the bleeding. Then, ice pack on and off my cheek every 15 mins or so for swelling. Took ibuprofen for pain, and kept my head elevated even while sleeping (that was kinda awkward, tbh). Um, anyone got better tips or tricks to ease the discomfort faster?

Had mine pulled last year, and honestly, you're already doing most of what worked for me. One extra thing that helped was rinsing gently with warm salt water after the first 24 hoursβ€”it seemed to soothe things a bit faster. Also, I found sleeping propped up on a bunch of pillows less awkward than trying to elevate my head with just one or two. Hang in there... it gets better pretty quick.
