I've been standing in the toothpaste aisle way too long lately, staring at all these "whitening" toothpastes and feeling kinda skeptical. I mean, some promise results in a week, others say they're gentle enough for daily use, blah blah. But honestly, do any of these actually make your teeth noticeably whiter? Or is it just clever marketing to get us to spend an extra buck or two?
Right now I'm stuck between trying one of those charcoal toothpastes (you know, the ones that turn your mouth all black and scary looking lol) or just sticking with a regular brand that claims whitening benefits. Has anyone tried both and noticed a real difference? I'm not expecting Hollywood-level brightness here, but it'd be nice if my coffee habit wasn't so obvious every time I smile, haha.
Which one do you guys prefer and why?
I've tried both charcoal and regular whitening toothpastes, and honestly... didn't notice much difference with either. Maybe my coffee addiction is just too powerful, lol. Has anyone had better luck with those whitening strips instead? Curious if they're worth the hassle.
