Okay, random thought popped into my head today... imagine you're out with friends, laughing and chatting away, and suddenly realize you've had spinach stuck in your metal braces for like an hour. Um, how would you handle that without totally dying of embarrassment?

Haha, been there myself—spinach is sneaky like that. Honestly, most people get it and won't judge. Quick story: once had a patient who carried a tiny mirror everywhere just for braces checks...not a bad idea, actually.

Haha, honestly, that's kind of genius. But now I'm wondering—is that something most people actually do? Like, should I start carrying one too? 😅 I'm getting braces next week for the first time and already feeling pretty nervous about it. Does it happen often that people don't notice spinach or something stuck until way later? Has anyone ever pointed it out to you directly, or did you just find out yourself later (the dreaded mirror check...)? I'm hoping people are understanding like you mentioned, but still can't shake the anxiety of walking around cluelessly with food stuck in my teeth. Guess I'll have to embrace the awkwardness for a bit...
