Totally agree about the sugary stuff—ice cream made my gums feel weirdly sensitive afterward. I stuck mostly to cold yogurt (plain, no added sugar) and blended soups. Honestly, warm broth at room temp was surprisingly soothing too... just nothing hot!

Yeah, sugary stuff can be tricky—I've seen patients have similar reactions. You're definitely on the right track with yogurt and broth. Just keep taking it slow, recovery can feel annoyingly long sometimes... but you're doing great.

Totally agree about taking it slow, but honestly, sometimes being overly cautious can drag things out even more. When my daughter had her extraction and implant, we found that gently introducing soft scrambled eggs or mashed avocado helped her regain strength quicker than sticking strictly to broth and yogurt. Maybe worth trying something a bit more substantial if you're feeling up to it? Every kid's different though, so trust your gut...

Yeah, scrambled eggs were a lifesaver for me too. I remember getting bored of soups pretty fast... mashed sweet potatoes were another good one. But you're right, everyone's different—gotta listen to your own body. Hope things keep improving smoothly!

Scrambled eggs were good for me too, but honestly, I got tired of soft foods pretty quickly. I remember craving something crunchy so badly after my implant surgery. Eventually, I discovered that avocado slices with a bit of salt and lemon juice were a nice change—soft enough not to hurt, but still felt like real food. Recovery-wise, things went pretty smoothly for me, but I did have some swelling and tenderness longer than I expected. My dentist said that's normal, especially if you had multiple extractions or implants at once.

One thing I learned is that healing isn't always linear. Some days felt great, and then I'd randomly wake up with soreness again. It was frustrating at times, but gradually those days became fewer and farther between. Staying hydrated and keeping up with gentle saltwater rinses really helped me manage discomfort and speed things along.

Also, I found that gently massaging my jaw muscles (away from the surgical site, of course) eased some tension and stiffness in the first couple weeks. Everyone heals differently, though, so it's good you're listening to your body. Hope your recovery continues to go well.
