Good tip about the cold compresses—I didn't realize how much they'd help either until I tried them myself. Did anyone here find that certain foods sped up their healing, or at least made recovery easier? I'm curious what worked best for others...

Totally agree about the cold compresses, they were a lifesaver for me too. Food-wise, I found smoothies and soups helpful, but honestly, what really seemed to speed things up was adding protein shakes into the mix. My dentist mentioned protein helps tissue repair faster, and I definitely noticed less soreness and quicker healing once I started drinking them regularly. Might be worth giving it a shot if you're still recovering...

Interesting, never thought protein shakes would make that big a difference. Did your dentist specifically recommend shakes, or just protein in general? When I had my implants done, I actually found that too much dairy or heavy protein drinks made me feel kinda sluggish and uncomfortable. Wonder if it's more about the type of protein or how your body reacts individually... Did anyone else notice differences depending on what kind of protein they used?

That's really interesting because I've been wondering the same thing. My dentist didn't specifically mention protein shakes either, just said to focus on protein-rich foods for healing. But now I'm kind of worried about feeling sluggish too, since dairy's always sat a bit weird with me. Maybe it's more about finding a protein source your body handles comfortably?

I've heard some people suggest plant-based protein powders like pea or rice protein might be easier on digestion, but I haven't personally tried them yet. Has anyone here had experience with those during implant recovery? I'm definitely curious if switching types could help avoid that heavy, uncomfortable feeling you're describing...
